About Annette's

Our Story

Annette's is a hidden staple in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Our walk-up window has been an attraction for families, locals and tourists alike. Annette's was founded in 2005 by Annette Frankos, and her husband George. They combined their passion for Italian ice, ice cream, and specialty frozen treats with their experience in the restaurant industry, having owned several restaurants in the past.

Though her husband sadly passed in 2013, Annette continues her mission to make Chicago's best Italian Ice. Although it is nothing fancy, Annette's is a welcoming place to gather with friends to enjoy a cool refreshing treat on a hot Chicago day, eat some Italian fro-yo with the family, or just chill out with the dog at our outdoor cafe. (They love the Frosty Paws frozen dog treats)!
